Career Preparation

Research has proven that marrying career motivation with academic planning can dramatically improve academic performance and career preparedness. Game Plan’s approach first begins with a student-athlete discovering his or her academic interests and culminates in being placed in a professional career based upon those interests.

Game Plan has been developed as an on-ramp for student-athletes to establish:

• Self-assess
• Develop leadership skills
• Foster career awareness
• Access career opportunities

The journey begins with Game Theory’s assessment offerings, which help individuals best understand themselves and their keen interests.  As these interests are identified, users complete a series of eLearning modules that line the path from self-leadership towards career management.  Then, each student-athlete is able to create his or her own Game Plan Pro Profile that can be easily viewed by potential employers.

Game Theory’s thesis for career preparation is rooted in following your passions. We developed our methodology to allow an individual to first understand themselves, and then learn about academic and career opportunities that align with their interests, strengths and passions.
