Game Plan Collegiate is a comprehensive academic advising and student-athlete development platform designed for athletic departments by former student-athletes, professional athletes, college coaches, athletic administrators, and faculty, with the mission to cover each stage of development during the student-athlete experience on campus and beyond. The program is progressive and works to develop the habits important to a student’s success in the classroom, as an athlete, and ultimately as a professional.
Game Plan Highlights
For college athletic department (Junior and 4-year Colleges), Game Plan:
- Delivers student-athletes a 4-year, progressive self-leadership / career-based learning curriculum.
- Provides easy to use career and personality assessments that allow student-athletes and their advisors a unique insight into academic planning and career management.
- Empowers athletic staff members to work with their student-athletes in facilitating and evaluating assessment and eLearning.
- Provides advisors and athletic staff members a comprehensive management system with which to proactively manage student-athletes’ academic planning in conjunction with self-leadership eLearning.
Personality and Career Assessment
Each assessment empowers students and advisors to identify and pursue academic plans and career paths that align with the interests and personality of the student-athlete. The personalized report paints a clear picture of how one’s interests and themes link to various academic plans, jobs, work settings, and career fields.
A learning module has been designed for each stage of development during a student-athlete’s collegiate career. These learning modules communicate the key principles and habits of successful individuals and allows students an opportunity for immediate application of what they have learned. The results of their application exercises are recorded and tracked and support materials are provided to coaches and academic advisors to facilitate reinforcement and follow-up. The modules are focused and impactful, and require an average of 1 hour of time per module.
Game Plan 2.0 has a set of tools that will provide a communication system in line with the needs of the current student-athlete. A master calendar will be available to the student-athlete, as well as their coaches, academic advisors, and other necessary stakeholders. This calendar, and well as other media sources, will assist with the notification process through email, texting, twitter, and other social media systems.
Due to the rigorous schedule that student-athletes maintain during their collegiate career, Game Plan 2.0 provides a management system for tutorial scheduling and study hall hours tracking. This management system will also assist the student-athlete with class tracking, as well as communication with professors throughout the school year to ensure the student has all of the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom.
Student-Athlete Management System
Game Plan’s administrative system puts all of the controls in the hands of the advisor. On-line student-athlete profiles are tracked and kept up to date with automated notifications, progress reporting and complete work history. The comprehensive management system allows administrators, coaches and advisors to view student application exercises, provide feedback, and further reinforce on an individual and group basis.
The program is delivered in an interactive web-based format that is focused on communicating and applying simple disciplines critical to a student’s success. Game Theory Group provides a best-in-class training system so that advisors become competent facilitators and interpreters of the assessment tools located in the Game Plan System.
